Card and terminal payment
What you will learn
Section titled “What you will learn”Complete a sale paid by card through a configured payment terminal.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Terminal device configured (Terminal payment).
poswrite on Sale.- For desktop: Vendor Desktop + bridge or local ECR (POS local-first).
Step 1 — Build cart
Section titled “Step 1 — Build cart”Add items and optional customer (Cash sale).
Step 2 — Select card payment
Section titled “Step 2 — Select card payment”- Open checkout.
- Choose Card / terminal payment method.
- Confirm total.
Step 3 — Complete on terminal
Section titled “Step 3 — Complete on terminal”- Follow prompts on the physical terminal (insert/tap/swipe per device).
- UI shows pending until the gateway confirms.
Step 4 — Wait for confirmation
Section titled “Step 4 — Wait for confirmation”- Screen polls payment status automatically.
- On success → receipt flow runs.
- On failure → retry or switch payment method per store policy.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”- Order marked paid with terminal metadata on receipt (terminal #, auth #, ref # when available).
- No duplicate charge if cashier waits for final status.
