Cashier help center
How can we help?
Section titled “How can we help?”The Cashier is the fullscreen point-of-sale workspace at /point-of-sale/*, shipped as Vendor Desktop (Electron) on each checkout PC. Unless a page says otherwise, steps in this help center assume Vendor Desktop — not the vendor dashboard in a browser.
Vendor Desktop opens the Cashier login screen, then only POS routes (Sale, Orders, Settings, …). It supports receipt printers, payment terminals, local SQLite, and offline outbox.

Vendor Desktop (primary)

Install and update notes: packaged app loads index-cashier.html (POS-only shell). Engineering detail: POS local-first.
Browser (optional)
Section titled “Browser (optional)”Owners or trainers can open /point-of-sale/sale from the vendor web app after signing in at /vendor-login or /login. Browser POS does not replace lane desktop — no local SQLite outbox, limited terminal/print integration. See Other POS surfaces.
